Wallow Fire jumps to 430,000 acres in eastern Arizona

Wallow Fire jumps to 430,000 acres in eastern Arizona The Wallow Fire continues to ravage the White Mountains. The fire was 6% contained this morning on Saturday 6/11, but with the higher winds today it is back to only 5% contained. The fire fighters are continuing to be vigilant to try to hold already established lines. In order to contain the fire they might need to burn out an additional 150,000 acres which would make it the largest forest fire in Arizona history. Thank you to all the fire fighters who are working tirelessly to save the White Mountain Communitites.
